I hope those export 1.0 litre rumours pan out. There'll be grey-market imports, regardless, but it's been a while since a sporty Kei came out here, officially - the Copen's the last I can think of, and it's debatable whether that even counts - and I'd like to see a decent number about.

Wouch... 2 million yen for a two seater Kei-car... that's expensive to say the least...

It sure is, but I am also assuming that no current Kei car comes close to this in terms of the driving experience.

True but when the average kei costs less than half that... it's a bit too much to say the least...

Well developing a bespoke chassis and drivetrain for a niche vehicle with small profit margins is still expensive, and Honda needs to pay the Pizza delivery guy like anyone else. Then again Honda moves enough Civics to sell the S660 at a loss.

it's a RWD, mid engined, manual targatop.

think of it as a mini-NSX or an MR2 that you can daily.

Honda is back!

More like a Micro-NSX... The Mr2 already is the mini NSX :)

As far as dailying one of these... meh, I'd go for the Cappuccino or the AZ-1. The original Beat was WAY too slow. I got to try one out and well... Meh... Fun and nimble sure, but REALLY slow.
